Nuts are a great snack on the keto diet and in general keto dieters love them. However some nuts are higher in carbs than others and should be consumed in moderation.
While Brazil, macadamia and pecan nuts are good keto options to go for, you may still want to be a bit restrictive when eating nuts. Particularly if you’re aiming to lose weight, or reverse type 2 diabetes, even these nuts can still be problematic.
Keep in mind that all nuts contain lots of fat and calories. Remember that consuming nuts is good advice on keto if you’re only doing so when you’re hungry and need the extra boost. Although if you’re just snacking on them between meals, without being hungry or because the nuts taste good or even if you’re bored, then you’re adding extra fat that you don’t really need.
